after rewatching the first season i was so pleased with the way the team rocket dressed. james was put in traditionally feminine clothing but it was never made into a joke and he was totally comfortable with it and that is so great

reblogging this for commentary because Jessie was (is) a badass woman who wasn’t afraid to say what she wanted and in general Team Rocket in animeverse is super cool about messing about with ideas of gender and that is why I love them all so much.

This is Team Rocket Appreciation Blog and always will be.

In today’s edition of ‘Unnecessarily Gendered Items’

the only tea u should drink is

I was actually curious about this and so looked up the ingredients of each tea to see if there was an actual reason as to why they would be gendered.

Men’s tea: ginger, cardamom, liquorice, carob, cinnamon, barley malt, roasted chicory, peppermint, fenugreek, fennel, mace, anise, ginseng flowers, astragalus, turmeric root, chili pepper, cinnamon extract (natural flavour), black pepper.

Women’s tea: ginger, cinnamon, orange peel, fennel, chamomile, barley malt, dandelion, black pepper, orange extract (natural flavour), juniper berries, liquorice, cardamom, cloves, angelica root extract (natural flavour).

I know from previous research that angelica root is used in some herbal remedies for menstruation, and we know chamomile has been used for soothing nerves.  The male tea has has more hot spices (which increases blood flow) and fenugreek (which apparently increases libido).

This translates to: Period Tea, and Boner Tea.

Thanks, Yogi.

that’s…actually very interesting

Hans + saying the one thing he knows will break each sister

Gotta love how Disney has created one of the most realistic portrayals of a sociopath in recent history, and it’s actually terrifying.

that is why he is the scariest villain of Disney to date. because he was “normal” just like the rest of us.

For me the scariest Disney villains are Judge Frollo, Hans, and Mother Gothel. Because they’re all so realistic. We see them in our everyday lives. Judge Frollo is the corrupt politician who uses their power to persecute others, Hans is the con artist who plays with people’s feelings to get what he wants, and Gothel is the emotionally abusive parent.

I agree with all of these, and I’d have to add Gaston to the list, and possibly at the top. Gaston is the man who was rejected by a woman and then decides to hurt others because of it. Is there anything more relevant to society right now?

Perfect addition! I can’t believe I forgot about Gaston!
